What we make available to our kids is what they will choose from.  

Over the years my family has been blessed with a great Christian pediatrician. I always look forward to our visits because along with the normal ears, nose, and throat checks, he always reaffirms our hearts with great biblical wisdom and spiritual encouragement!

At some point during our visits, he talks to the girls about their health and the importance of eating a good variety of fruits and veggies. He then looks up at me says…

“Mom, you do not have control over whether or not your kids eat. But what you can control are the options available to them. Stay stocked with fruits, veggies and healthy alternatives. When they are hungry, they will choose from what you have made available.”

I’ve always loved this particular piece of wisdom and I have adopted its truth.

As the girls are getting older I am learning to accept the fact that I cannot control what they will long for. However, at this tender age my responsibility is to stay stocked with a variety of healthy options.  

When it comes to feeding your girl’s spirit do not leave her to her own desires. Take control of what’s available! It is my passion to help you stock the space in your girl’s heart and mind with healthy, Christ-focused options as well.

My goal is to make For Girls Like You a basket of the healthiest options available. Each issue is dripping with the juiciest and sweetest truth we can provide- God’s Word!
