I AM LOVING – Week 1 Devotional

It’s normal to think about ourselves first—to care more about what we need than others, especially our siblings. Sometimes we even talk more nicely to our friends or teachers than to our families. But God calls us to something higher … to love like Jesus loves us.

As we seek Jesus, He changes our hearts to care even more about what others need and want too.

It might look like being more open to sharing with our siblings. Or, we might think twice about the tone we use. When we feel selfi shness creep in, we might feel a pull on our hearts to be selfless instead. John 15:12 might appear in our mind so we see the better way of love.

Jesus’ call to love each other how He loves us is a pretty big call because God loves us so well. But God will help you along the way if you ask Him to.
