God is in Control – Week 6

Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t know what to say or do? You knew that God is above everything and in charge, but in that moment, you weren’t sure what to say?

Jesus thought the disciples might have that same problem when they faced difficulty and persecution, so He shared these words with them: “Do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

The Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of God, will actually give us the words to say when we are seeking Him! Isn’t that awesome? So, when we
feel at a loss for words, or like we need to defend ourselves, or when someone is giving us a hard time for our faith, Jesus has an awesome promise—the Holy Spirit will give us the words to say.

Jesus even says not to worry. He goes to bat for us and is there for us. When we know God is sovereign and we are seeking Him, we can be at peace and know that all will be well.
