God is in Control – Week 2

Have you heard of the song, He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands? When I think of God being sovereign it makes me think of this song. The lyrics go like this:

He’s got you and me, brother, in His hands. . .
He’s got you and me, sister, in His hands. . .
He’s got everybody here in His hands. . .
He’s got the whole world in His hands

Just as Colossians 1:17 and this song say, God holds all things together in His hands. When we are afraid, we can relax because God’s got it. He is over everything. God’s will and way are going to happen since God is sovereign and holds all things together.

In the beginning, in His power and knowledge, God created and orchestrated everything in the world in a week! Just like that. Because He is God and can do anything.

When things seem to be falling apart in our lives and aren’t going just like we want, let’s remember that it will be okay because God holds all things together with His perfect, strong hand. He will work all things for your good. Because He loves you.
