God is in Control – Week 1 Devotional

God is Trustworthy – Week 1

In friendships, you get to know your friends over time which helps grow the relationships. It’s difficult to have a relationship with someone if you don’t know much about them. It’s the same with God.

In these devotions, we’ll look at God’s sovereignty, which is just a big word for God being in charge and leading things according to His will and way.

One of the reasons we can trust God being in charge is that He is perfect. Even though we aren’t, we can have connection and relationship with our perfect, powerful God because of His grace.

Alena once shared that, “He loves me because Someone has already paid the cost for my imperfection.” Jesus is the One who paid that price by giving His life on the cr oss. In God’s sovereignty and power, He made a way for us to be with Him forever—what love!

When we fall short, we can rely on God, our Rock. A rock is solid and strong. And that is exactly who God is—solid, strong and powerful. What a relief that we can rely on God, the Sovereign and Perfect One, to guide us and lead us according to His will and way.
