I love a good buy… because good buys create great stories.

You know when you find an item with a sale price and three former sales prices under it are all scratched off and marked in red? That’s the sort of purchase that makes me happy…. on the inside!

But there is one thing I love even more than just buying the item and that’s having the opportunity to tell someone else the story behind my wonderful new purchase…

Because a good buy always tells a great story.

Regardless of how much I actually paid for it, it just feels good to know that my purchase is worth something.

This my friend, is what I consider a good buy because it is actually priceless.

If you asked me about this clutch I would most definitely tell you a good story. Not just a story about layers of price tags that have been crossed off but the story of lives that have been changed.

This clutch carries the story of three women- Noval, Kameesh and Pema- the incredible women who made it. I do not know them personally but I know for sure that they are not much different from you and I.

Like I have said before, a mom-is a mom- is a mom and regardless of our language barriers, varying experiences or even the color of the ground we walk on… our hearts for our children beat the same.

They are daughters. They are mothers. They are our sisters. 

There are women, artisans around the world who are part of Fair Trade Friday making beautiful items. When we buy them, they no longer have to sell their bodies in order to feed their children. They no longer have to live with fear and worry.  They no longer have to turn to drugs to survive.

With each item they make, their lives are changed because the items they sell change their story.
