Have you ever been so deeply immersed and connected to somthing that you totally miss the opportunity to fully enjoy what is actually happening while it is happening? It’s kind of a weird thing to explain but if you know what I mean then I am sure you know what I mean…right?!

Ok, give me a minute and let me try to explain…

This has happened to me twice.  First at my wedding (don’t worry, my husband and I agree!), and again this weekend at our first ever For Girls Like You event!

I suppose the term I am looking for is “surreal.”

For me, our “Give” event was a culmination of all that we try to achieve through our magazine, our blog and our social media efforts. It was a time for girls, their moms and their friends to get together and love on each other while being a live example of what it means to live like Christ.  It was a joyful evening, and a teachable moment, all at the same time…..a surreal moment that I was so connected to that ironically I needed to see this recap to realize the true impact and responsibility we have on these young hearts!

Each girl took home a rock with a new  friend’s name and promised to pray for them

We gave.

These pictures can only begin to capture the intense joy that filled the atomosphere on this night. I pray that you will take time to fully immerse yourself into the lives of your girls in a way that will forever impact the world around them. My prayer is that your life will be full of surreal moments as you teach your girls to be the hands and feet of Christ.
