God is in Control – Week 7

As we are figuring out decisions to make in life, we might worry about making the right ones. But the good news is that when we follow and pursue God, we do not need to worry. He will lead the way. Even when difficult things happen, we can trust that He will use all things for our good and His glory.

In the story of Joseph in Genesis, after sharing his dreams of being a leader with his brothers, he was thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and ended up in prison! In the midst of some people making awful choices, God had higher purposes. He used Joseph’s gifts to help him become the second-in- command over all of Egypt! Nothing can get in the way of God’s will and way.

Sometimes to the human eye things don’t make sense, but God is supernatural and above all. He has higher purposes that we might not understand. Because He is a good God who loves us, we can trust Him. He will work all things out for our good because He is sovereign, leads us, and loves us. He will fulfill His purposes for us.

Life can be messy. So, even when it doesn’t look pretty, God is working. As 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, God will give you just what you need to accomplish His purposes for you.
