I AM LOVING – Week 2 Devotional

Rules can be annoying sometimes, but they are needed. Imagine there being no traffic lights or speed limits—it would be complete chaos. It’s the same with God. God knew that to protect our hearts and minds, we would need some rules and boundaries.

Do you remember the 10 commandments God gave to Moses about how to live and treat others? Well, in Matthew 22, a Pharisee asked Jesus what the most important commandment was. And, Jesus told him it was to love God.

We can love God in all kinds of ways. Some ways are through praying, reading Scripture, loving others, praising Him, using our gifts andtalents, and serving.

Jesus said the second most important commandment is to love others. You might care for a friend or family through offering them encouragement, helping them, listening, forgiving, or asking for forgiveness. There are so many ways to love those around us.
